Sorry It's Been So Long.....

Okay, I am finding that I am not the best at updating the blog. I am still going to try to get better at that, but for now I figured that I would share with you what has happened since out last update.

Gearing up for the Christmas season is always fun, and always busy at Central. Since Kim joined the staff a while ago, it was really easy to go and hang out with here whenever she had vocal rehearsal, auditions, a video shoot, or whatever. Now that Maisey is here, she gets dragged along to join in on the fun. Here, Maisey is hanging out at her first video shoot with mom for Centrals impact video. She was a real trooper!

Since what seems like Maisey's birth, Kim has been wanting to get Maisey's ears pierced. I admit that I was very hesitant in getting to holes punched in my little girls head, but at the six month mark I decided that it wasn't worth it to fight it anymore, so for Maisey's six month birthday she got to get her pretty little ears pierced :o/

As some of you may know, about 2 years ago Kim and I decided to get a Newfoundland puppy. What at the time was a 35 lb. puppy has turned into a 130 lb. puppy that we have been trying to introduce with Maisey. I am happy to say that the two are very fond of each other.

We have also been working on introducing more and more foods. While Maisey is doing great at being a good eater, she isn't always a clean eater...this could be feeders error also. In the past week, Maisey has even began to use her pinchers to pick up rice treats and feed them to herself!

It seems like everyone had been so busy since the arrival of Maisey, Jillian and Maddy that the girls had not had the chance to hang out. They (Kim, Jenny, Pauline and Allison) decided to put an end to this and all of the girls got together and had a little bit of fun time. While although chaotic, fun was had by all!

The gang....
Then came the busyness of the Christmas season. Over the holidays we were able to hang out with coworkers, friends and family. Here Maisey is having a little fun at the annual CCV Christmas party. Maisey is sporting the bow look, a little Cassaday touch :o)
And then the big (and long) day arrived, Maisey's first Christmas. Below are some of the hi lights from the big day.

Wakey...Wakey......Maisey's first Christmas morning.

We finally rolled out of bed and made it to Grandma and Grandpas for Christmas breakfast. We figured that we would let Maisey spend the morning in her comfy reindeer outfit.
Maisey had the chance to spend quality time with her family. Here Maisey hangs out with her Great Granddaddy.

and Grandma Beverly.

Since she has had a fascination with lights since she was born, we decided to take her to Zoo Lights. I think it is safe to say that she had a good time.

Since our backyard is all dirt we decided to let Maisey hang out in the grass in front of the church for a while. I am still not sure what she thought of that experience.

Then came Dad's first weekend without the Girls. At the end of January Kim, Maisey and Grandma Bev hit the friendly skies to go visit Aunt Tara, Cousin Gabe and Cousin Mia. Below are a few of the fun pics from the long weekend.

Maisey is ready to fly with her boarding pass in hand.

Maisey spending a little time getting to know Cousin Mia....and stealing her pugga :o)

Here, Maisey is experiencing the playground for the first time. Cousin Gabe showed her the ropes.

...and although she had fun, she was ready to head home and see Daddy!

We decided that we are going to try to take her out to the park more often, so here is Maisey having a good time swinging.

and an even better time playing with Mommy and Daddy.

...and there is always time for friends. Here, Maisey and Maddy hang out in the greenroom at church while their Mommies sing. We still have some work to do with Maisey on that whole sharing thing.

So I think that is it for now. Aunt Jen and the cousins just moved to town from Connecticut while Uncle David is in Afghanistan, so i am sure that we will have some more good cousin pictures soon. Here's to hoping that I can get my act together and update more often :o)

Christmas Time Is Here...

Last night we decided that since work is about to get crazy busy for Kim, it was time to bundle Maisey up and go hunting for a Christmas tree. We think we found the perfect one and Maisey helped of course. We put up a few pics of our adventure, hope you enjoy them :o)

It's Been Awhile...

So, although we have been horrible at keeping our blog up to date, Maisey has failed to stop growing and changing on what seems like a daily basis. This week, December 9th to be exact, our baby girl turns six months old! I just can't believe it! Here are some of the special moments from the last few months. I hope you enjoy sharing them with us!

I believe that in our last post, we had just returned from Maisey's first trip which was a long weekend in San Diego with Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Dustin and cousins Quin and Gage. Of course while at Sea World, Grandpa had to buy Maisey a souvenir. Below is Maisey sportin' the Sea World hat that went with a complete outfit that Grandpa bought her.

With Kim workin' at church and life seeming to fly by faster than we can imagine, Maisey always gets taken along for the ride. This weekend was a little too much fun for her. She decided to completely crash. Fortunately for us, it was a perfect, cute photo op!

One of the things that I love the most about being a parent and watching Maisey grow up is when she gets to meet her new friends. Below is the first time that Maisey met Madelyn. Here, the papas got to show of their girls. I think that Josh is lovin' being a dad. Kim and Jen are going to be having a play date soon with our friends Pauline and Allison, so i'm sure that there will be some good friends pictures soon to come!

As parents, me and Kim have realized the importance of values. One of our values that we hold true to is a commitment to the Maroon and Gold. Here is Maisey taking in her first ASU football game. You can see a proud Grandpa in the background. It was so fun watching her that night. She literally stayed up nearly all but the last minute of the game. Now we just need to instill some more biblical values like Revelations 21:8, "Liars go to Tucson" :o)

One Friday, we were lucky to have Grandma Bev stop by to hang out a little and love on Maisey. Maisey decided to not be a booty butt that day and give Grandma some cuddles and smiles.

We also posted a little video clip of this below, but here is a pic of Maisey and Daddy after Maisey had her first taste of solid food. It is a lot more time consuming that I thought it would be. Since then she has had some sweet potatoes (as you can also see below) as well as bananas. This girl likes her food!

Since we first loved Maisey, one of the things that we have found adorable about her is that whenever she cried and went into diva mode, she would cry...cry...cry and then throw her head back and moo. Because of this we began to call her Maisey Moo. Well this Halloween, we originally were going to dress her up as a skunk because she, at times, can be the stinkiest baby (literally...i think that the girl has a gas leak), but once that costume fell through there was only one obvious chioce left. I present to you, Maisey Moosers!

And this one is just a cute pic that we threw in for good measure!

We also added videos of some of our favorite Maisey moments and milestones. We love our little girl and understand that you may not find her as adorable as we do, but we look forward to watching er grow even more (but not too quickly).

While the nephews were in town...

Over the last couple of weeks, we were able to spend some time with the nephews who came for their annual visit. Since they live in Connecticut it is hard to see them often, so we try to have as much fun as we can while they are here. I decided to post some of the pictures of our adventures, I hope that you enjoy them!
While the boys were here, me and Grandpa were able to take the
boys to their first MLB game and the DBacks even won! The boys had
more fun than the pictures indicate!

This was also the first time that the boys were able to meet their new cousin.
Unfortunately while they were here, Maisey was in an "I want mommy and
daddy only" mood, so the pics are of a fussy girl. We also quickly found out
that Gage does not like to ride in the car with me and Aunt Kim while Maisey
is fussy. Gage quote "She is so annoying!" We know that he meant it with love :)

We decided to surprise the nephews this year with a trip to San Deigo! They seemed
to have more fun on this trip than last years trip to Disneyland. I know, go figure!

We quickly found out that Maisey isn't the biggest fan of the ocean yet.

But she loved napping at the beach!

A few pics from our days at Sea World.

A short vid from my favorite Sea World show, Sea Lions Tonight.
